James Franklin (1697 – 1735) was a printer and one of Benjamin Franklin's older siblings.[1]
Beginning in 1718, James was joined in his work by Benjamin, who became an apprentice printer. Their relationship was rocky, in part due to James' discovery that his younger brother had been writing an extremely popular column for the paper under a pseudonym. Their partnership lasted until 1723, when Benjamin ran away to Philadelphia.[1]
