A dying Ivanovich in the hands of his father

Ivan Ivanovich (28 March 1554 – 19 November 1581), of the House of Rurik, was Tsarevich - the heir apparent - of the Tsardom of Russia, being the second son of Ivan the Terrible and Anastasia Romanovna, and elder brother of Feodor.

Ivan was assassinated by the Assassins, but the cause of death is commonly believed by historians to be a hit of his father's staff after an argument between the two occurred.
