Impact bomb casings were a component that was used in the crafting of bombs by the Ottoman Assassins, which, being made out of fragile terracotta, would explode upon collision with any type of surface. As such, they were best used for the quick deployment of the finished bomb's ingredient effect.
In terms of bomb-crafting, impact casings could be used in conjunction with any gunpowder type or ingredient.
