| This article is about the animal. You may be looking for Medunamun, also known as the Ibis. |

The ibises are a group of wading birds in the family Threskiornithidae with slender necks and long, narrow, downward-curving beaks.
History
Because of the distinctive appearance of their bills, the ibis symbolized the crescent moon in Egyptian culture, and by extension, Thoth, their god of wisdom, intelligence, and the Moon.[1]
Medunamun, a member of the Order of the Ancients acting as the Oracle of Amun in 48 BCE, operated under the cryptonym the Ibis.[1]
The Medjay Bayek of Siwa could sell ibis beaks to merchants for 5 drachmae each.[1]
