Hippolyta's Belt was a belt belonging to Hippolyta, an Amazonian queen and daughter of the Greek god of war, Ares. It was part of an armor set attributed to various heroes in Greek mythology.
During the Peloponnesian War the belt was in the possession of a mercenary. The Spartan misthios Kassandra crossed paths with the mercenary and claimed the belt for herself.[1]
