Herakles' Bow was a legendary bow allegedly belonging to the mighty Greek hero Herakles.
During the Peloponnesian War, the bow was held in a chest in the Koinyra Fortress on the Greek island of Thasos during the 5th century BCE. During the war, the misthios Kassandra Kassandra recovered the bow after infiltrating and looting the fort.[1]
