The Hephaestus Email Network is an internet email service that is used by Desmond in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It works similarly to websites such as Yahoo! Mail or Hotmail. Using this service, Desmond can access emails sent to and by him via the laptop in the Villa Auditore hideout while outside of the Animus. Accessing his account will earn the player the Mailer Daemon achievement.
At a certain point in the game, Desmond receives an email from Erudito containing the passwords for Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca's accounts, allowing him access to their emails as well as his own.
