Helloya is a island in northern Norway.

History

In 866, Norse navigator Bjorn made his new home there after being exiled by Harald Fairhair.[1] Five years later, he was visited by his accuser Thorsteinn Silvertongue, who needed a new navigator for his voyage to England. Reluctant, Bjorn agreed as they walked out to Thorsteinn's ship. Before leaving, Thorsteinn and his wife Gunnhilda Gunnarsdottir talked and she mentioned that she still distrusted him. Agreeing, Thorsteinn admitted they are out of options and hoped Bjorn would not sabotage him. Fortunately, Thorsteinn and his new crew under Stigr left the island and safely sailed to England.[2]
