The Assassin killed the raiders' leader, [[Philippe Rose]], and used the power of the lantern to repel his men from the Temple.


In August 1794, the Assassin Arno Dorian battled a group of tomb raider sent by [[Napoleon Bonaparte]] in order to find the artefact in the Precursor Temple hidden below the christian basilica. The Assassin killed the raiders' leader, [[Philippe Rose]], and used the power of the lantern to repel his men from the Temple. Dorian then contacted the Brotherhood, asking them to bring the Apple in Cairo, to a man named Al Mualim, but kept the now average lantern as his own personnal item.
