The Harvest Axe

The Harvest Axe was a scythe made and used in the 5th century BCE Arkadia, Greece. The farmers of the so-called 'Breadbasket of Peloponnese' used this axe to make room for the harvest, and to scare away the birds.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this weapon while she was burning down the wheat stores of Arkadia's Archon, Lagos.[1]
