Ezio, my friend! How may I be of service? This article has a lot of room for expansion. Please improve it with additional information in accordance with the Manual of Style |

Hares are small, herbivorous animals belonging to the Lepus genus. Hare species are native to Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, and the Japanese archipelago.
History
During the Renaissance, a rabbit's foot was considered to be a symbol of good luck.[1]
During the Seven Years' War, the Colonial Templar Shay Cormac fashioned a number of items from pelts obtained from hares and arctic hares, including a pouch for his darts.[2] In the subsequent American Revolution, the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton could hunt hares in the Frontier, and sell their furs, meat, and feet for money at general stores.[3]
