A harbormaster in Boston

Harbormasters were responsible for managing ports in Colonial America, and they could be hired to construct upgrades for ships.

Colonial era

During the early 18th century, the pirate Edward Kenway could purchase upgrades for his ship, Jackdaw, using blueprints he had found during maritime voyages and treasure hunts.[1]

During the late 18th century, the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton could also purchase the following equipment for his ship, Aquila, from harbormasters. During this period, the various upgrades were priced as follows:[2]
