Harbormasters were responsible for managing ports in Colonial America, and they could be hired to construct upgrades for ships.
Golden Age of Piracy
During the Golden Age of Piracy, the Assassin pirate Edward Kenway could purchase upgrades for the Jackdaw, using blueprints he had found during maritime voyages and treasure hunts.[1]
American Revolutionary War
During the American Revolution, the Assassin Connor could purchase the following equipment for his ship, the Aquila, from the harbormasters:[2]
- Wooden Hull Reinforcements: £13000
- Iron Hull Reinforcements: £25000
- Extra Cannon: £2500
- Heat Shot: £19000
- Grape Shot: £17000
- Improved Rudder: £11000
- Piercing Round: £9000
- Naval Ram: £8000
