Hammer of Hephaistos

The Hammer of Hephaistos was a large hammer allegedly forged by Hephaistos, an Isu revered as the Greek god of forge, smithing and fire.

By the 5th century BCE, the hammer was used by Arges, a cyclops created as part of the Olympos Project held in an arena on the island of Nisyros. During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra claimed the hammer for herself after killing the cyclops.[1]
