Halstead Outpost

Halstead Outpost was an Anglo-Saxon military outpost in northern Essexe, England.

History

In the 870s, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan ventured within Halstead Outpost and found a chest behind a barred door. Breaking through the barred door, Eivor entered the room, looted the chest, and retrieved the Galloglach Helm. Afterwards, Eivor left the military outpost.[1]
