HMS Ormonde was a fourth rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, which sailed the Caribbean in the early 18th century.
HMS Ormonde and its twin ship, HMS Pembroke were secretly dispatched to the Caribbean to protect precious cargo and escort confidential missions to the New World. The ships sailed together but disguised themselves as one ship to lure enemies near and sink them with a deadly pincer attack. Both ships were sunk by the pirate Alonzo Batilla.
Trivia
- Historically, HMS Pembroke was broken up in 1726 and the HMS Ormonde was broken up seven years later.
