Gullthorp

Gullthorp (Runic: ᚴᚢᛚᚦᚬᚱᛒ) was a town in Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr. During the Muspel invasion of the realm, Muspel warriors led by the scientist Calder overtook the area while the dwarven inhabitants abandoned their homes.

History

In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi traveled to Gullthorp to locate Calder's ritual with the Salakar. Looking closer, Havi deduced that the warriors, who were part of Surtr's daughter Eysa's company, were taken to be sacrificed. Using the Hugr-Rip, he activated the "Power of Muspelheim" and disguised himself as a Muspel to enter the ritual. While Havi hid within the Muspel circle, Calder used the Salakar on Havi, briefly glimpsed at his past, and realized it was Havi in disguise. However, Eysa came and attacked Calder, throwing a spear at the Salakar. Within the scuffle, Calder left with the Salakar, Eysa chased after him, while Havi dealt with the Muspel soldiers.[1]

While there, Havi inspected the area and saw a ladder within a lava-filled home. Activating the "Power of Muspelheim" again, he moved a block towards the ladder, climbed upward, and found a chest. Opening it, he acquired the Dwarven Blacksmith Cloak.[2]
