Grignon (died c. 1791) was a Frenchman who lived during the French Revolution and owned a string of brothels in the Cour des Miracles district in Paris.
A rival of the Marquis de Sade, Grignon was known to impose horrible working conditions on his girls, but was also well-guarded. After the death of the Roi des Thunes and De Sade's rise, Grignon was targeted by Arno Dorian on de Sade's behalf, believing that killing Grignon would improve the girls' life and increase de Sade's influence at the same time.[1]
Grignon's death made his allies become more reckless, and de Sade easily took over his businesses through blackmail.[1]
