The Governor's Mansion was the home of the Spanish Governor Laureano de Torres y Ayala during the early 18th century.
In July 1715, Torres inducted Julien du Casse, Woodes Rogers and Duncan Walpole, whose identity was assumed by the pirate Edward Kenway, into the Templar Order inside the mansion's belvedere. After the induction, the Templars discussed about eliminating the Master Assassins and finding the Observatory.
