In Greek mythology, Gorgophone was a queen of Messenia and Sparta. She was a daughter of the hero Perseus and Andromeda.[1]
Biography
During her life time, Gorgophone possessed a helmet which, following her death, was laid in her tomb within the depths of the Foundry of Hephaistos.[2]
