The Gobi Desert is a large desert in East Asia, covering Northern and Northeastern China, and Southern Mongolia.
In 1424, the Ming Emperor Yongle was assassinated in his tent by the Assassin Li Tong, during the Emperor's attempt to suppress a rebellion near the desert.[1]
