Geta (Latin: Publius Septimius Geta Augustus; 7 March 189 – 19 December 211), born Publius Septimius Geta, was Roman Emperor along with his father Septimius Severus and brother Caracalla from 209 to his death.

In 203, the Arch of Septimius Severus was built, commemorating the Parthian victories of Septimius Severus, Geta and Caracalla. After the death of Septimius Severus, Geta and Caracalla ruled jointly as emperors. In 211, however, Caracalla had Geta assassinated. Caracalla then destroyed all records of Geta's existence, including Geta's image and inscriptions on the arch.
