Gaspard Martinez was a Spanish Inquisitor officer living in Barcelona, Spain. Tomas Torquemada, the Inquisitor General, tasked him with capturing six Assassins, which he successfully did. He had one of the guards kill the first Assassin, after the latter was interrogated by Torquemada. Right after, he left the scene and became unguarded: an easy prey for Ezio Auditore da Firenze, an Italian Assassin who had come to Spain to rescue his fellow Assassins.
