Gaius Cassius Longinus (c. 85 B.C.E. – 42 B.C.E.) was a Roman Senator, a leading instigator of the plot to kill Julius Caesar, and the brother in-law of Marcus Junius Brutus.

Gaius Cassius Longinus was a member of the Assassin Order,[1] taking a leading role in the plot to kill the tyrant dictator Julius Caesar.[2] He tasked Brutus with devising the plan.[3]
