The Freeman Sword was a wooden sword originally awarded to gladiators when they earned their freedom.

The Medjay Bayek was given this sword after completing the Cyrene Gladiator Arena in 47 BCE.

The Freeman Sword is based on the Xiphos type of sword.
Its name suggests that it belonged to a Freedman, a former slave who was granted freedom.
