"Beautiful white Parian marble. Should I add some Spartan red?"
―Kassandra[src]

The Fortified Marble Quarry is a quarry located in the middle of Paros, Greece.

In 429 BCE, a Naxian admiral serving the oligarch of Naxos, Phoenix, came to Paros to talk peace. Instead, he and his ship and crew were ambushed and demolished, with survivors taken to the quarry. Some time later the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the quarry, freeing Euneas and others, burning the Parian supplies, claiming their valuables and killing their captains.[1]
