Fort Ticonderoga is a large 18th-century fort in northern New York, United States.
History
In May of 1775, at the beginning of the American Revolutionary War, Benedict Arnold led the Patriots to capture the fort, proving himself instrumental to the cause.[1] From then on, the fort became part of the revolution's supply line. In order to break the Siege of Boston, for example, munitions, cannons, and artillery were transported from the fort to the frontlines by Henry Knox, albeit with help from members of the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins sent by Ratonhnhaké:ton.[2][3]
