Forseti's Rest

The Forseti's Rest was a temple in the south of Jorvik, dedicated to Forseti, the Norse god of justice and reconciliation.

In the 870s, the temple was visited by the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir, who recovered a battleaxe from a treasure chest hidden in a corner of the building.[1]
