Alejandro Ortega de Márquez was a Spanish privateer and Templar that was active in the Caribbean, conquering several small islands in the name of King Philip V of Spain. Despite rumors that he had lived a year among the Taíno, possibly even taking a Taíno bride and fathering one or more children, Alejandro eventually attacked one of their settlements and was killed in the ensuing battle.
