Finn McCool is a giant hunter-warrior from Irish mythology.
He was said to hunt with his band at the rocky slopes of Ben Bulben,[1] and rumors circled that he was responsible for building a bridge over the sea. King Charles the Bald of Francia tasked his advisor, Roger Despierres, with ascertaining the validity of this particular claim, as he had a wager on it.[2]
