I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
| This article is about the individual referred to as "???". You may be looking for the memory sequences of the same name. |

"The Monk" was a mysterious hooded figure active in the Caribbean Sea during the late 1710s. Seeking information and merchandises, the man often tasked the pirate Alonzo Batilla with finding parcels protected by powerful warships.
Trivia
- According to the Monk, he led a raid on Normandy at the head of thirty ships and participated in the Battle of Sandwich; this is a reference to Eustace the Monk, a leading figure in the First Barons' War.
- During one of his numerous meeting with Batilla, The Monk revealed that he was aware of the Animus technology, centuries before its creation, and that he was in fact speaking with the research analyst reliving Batilla's memories through an Abstergo product.
