The Eirena Military Camp was a military camp set on slopes northeast of Megara within Valley of King Lelex in Megaris, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the camp, burning the soldiers' supplies, killing their captain and freeing their captive.[1]
Trivia
- Eirena is variant transliteration of εἰρήνη (eirḗnē), the Greek word meaning 'peace', and also the name of the personification of peace in Greek mythology. Her Roman equivalent was Pax.
