Destin was a male dwarf who lived in Vangrinn, Svartálfaheimr.
Biography
Destin fled to Hodda Shelter when the Muspels invaded the region. After what he thought was sufficient time in hiding, he left the enclave only to be captured with a group of dwarves by a joint force of Muspel and jötunn warriors, who promptly began executing their prisoners until he was the sole survivor. Luckily, the Æsir lord Havi was passing by and quickly slew the captors, thus rescuing the dwarf. Destin thanked the Asgardian, informed him of their leader whom he last heard could be located west of Gomul-stífla, then returned to his shelter. When he happened to see Havi visit, he approached the god again and gave him a gift [citation needed] for saving him.[1]
