An ink painting of a pair of tussling red fox cubs.
While the adult red fox is a solitary animal—preferring to travel, hunt, and live alone—young fox kits live together in packs. Cubs will playfully scrap with one another as a way of expelling energy, gaining muscle control and body awareness, and practicing their skills for real fights in the future.
