Wife of Chieftan Prasutagus of the Iceni tribe situated in what is present day East Anglia.

Prasutagus was a client of Rome, but upon his death, Rome dispossessed his family of land, goods and the tribe itself, and assaulted his wife and daughters.

Boudicca swore vengeance and raised an army. She sacked Colchester, London and St. Albans. Along the way, she mutilated Roman statues and desecrated their tombs.

At her final battle in the Midlands, the tide of combat turned against her. The strong-willed Boudicca took poison rather than be captured.
