Dakodonou was sold into slavery at fourteen, keeping his beliefs and desires to create a better life for his kin a secret. After escaping captivity, he made contact and was trained by the Assassins, whom he later left in order to educate himself in the ways of Haitian voodoo, and to carry on his true calling, the creation of a new world.
In 2013, his genetic memories were used as an Animi Avatar by the entertainment branch of the Templar company Abstergo Industries, to influence the general public via the Animus game console, under the title of the Shaman.
