Sold into slavery at the age of fourteen, Dakodonou kept his beliefes and his desires to establish a better life for his people a secret. Espcaping captivity years later, Dokodonou trained with the Assassins, leaving only to educate himself in the Haitian Vodoue and carry on his true calling to create a new world.
In 2013, his genetic memories were used as an Animi Avatar by the entertainment branch of the Templar company Abstergo Industries, to influence the general public via the Animus game console, under the title of the Shaman.
