Daikichiji Temple

Daikichiji Temple was an abandoned temple in northeastern Ōmi, Japan.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1582, travelers began to go missing or be killed by a shinobi, who was actually Rokkaku Yoshimitsu, the leader of the Godai Shinobi. The Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke searched the temple grounds after accepting a task from Kōga's former daimyō Shōtei to find and stop his former students. Inspecting a cave, they found Yoshimitsu, Shōtei's stepson, who ambushed them. However, Naoe and Yasuke managed to best and kill him before retrieving the tantō Call of the Void from his personal effects.[1] While there, Naoe and Yasuke also found and retrieved two lost pages scattered throughout the temple.[2]
