The dagger is unlocked and made usable by collecting all the Keys of Romulus from the different [[Lairs of Romulus]], and is found in the same underground chamber as the [[Armor of Brutus]]. | Having this unique weapon equipped will strike fear into the hearts of [[civilians]], and will cause [[guards]] to flee faster from fights, due to its brutal kill animations. The dagger's kill animations are unique, and differ from those of other short blade weapons that Ezio can wield. For example, the bone breaking moves of other short blades, are replaced by several vicious stabs, and a move involving stabbing the opponent in the chest, then again in the back, before tossing the corpse aside (similar to some of the multiplayer unique kills). The reason behind such a gruesome animation could be derived from the actual assassination of Julius Caesar, where he was stabbed multiple times by his murderers, Brutus being one of them.
