The Cuttoe Sword was a short hanger sword. Models of this cuttoe appeared in the markets of New Orleans,[1] and throughout settlements in New France and New England,[2] such as Boston and New York,[3] during the 18th century.[2][3] The Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton purchased one for his armory during the American Revolution.[3]
