Constantinople was a city in the Ottoman Empire, on the edge of Europe. In the Middle Ages, it was Europe's largest and wealthiest city.

History

During the Renaissance, a guild of the Assassin Order was based in this city, and at some point between 1501 and 1507, received aid from Italian Assassins for several important missions.[1][2]

At some point after 1507, the Templars started to relocate themselves to Constantinople - threatening the population of the entire region. After finding out about this, Ezio Auditore - the Mentor of the Assassin Order - left Rome for Constantinople to once more continue the fight against his arch-enemies.[3]
