The Codex of Eden was a powerful Isu artifact whose powers were exploited by a Christian sect in the Kingdom of Alba to convert the local population. It was stored in the Loch Ness Temple, a massive Isu complex underneath the Loch Ness in Scotland. The temple also served as a primary headquarters for the Christian sect while they continued their operations.
It was sought after by King Alfred who tasked his acolyte Ecbert to infiltrate the cult and acquire the artifact. An enraged Edward assaulted his mentor and she fell to her death after a quick brawl, shattered the Codex in the process. After Adelaïde's death, Edward followed in his brother's footstep by joining Alfred's cause and provided King Alfred with the fragments of the artifact for further study.[1]
