Christopher Alben (died 1915) was a British corporal who fought in World War I.

In March 1915, Alben was deployed as part of the British Army in northern France. While there, Alben wrote a letter to his girlfriend Katie, explaining his intention to marry her and persuading her not to read the newspaper reports on the War. Alben died in battle three weeks later.[1]

By 1916, Alben's letter ended up in London, where it was recovered by the British Assassin Lydia Frye.[2]
