Chase-breakers are tools featured in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which players can activate to delay their pursuers, and give themselves more time to escape. These items are indicated with an Animus visual effect to help distinguish them better from the surrounding environment. Trap doors and merchendise lifts take 3-5 seconds before they are useable again.
Different types of Chase-Breakers include:
- Lifts
- Portcullis
- Trap doors
- Crumbling beams
- Corner Helpers
- Chandeliers
Trivia
- Though only usable by the player in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, some chase breakers have been around since Assassin's Creed II.
