Castra Pyramis

The Castra Pyramis was a Roman military camp in Arsinoe in the Sinai.

In 38 BCE, the camp was visited by the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa, who eliminated the guards and looted the valuables.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The word Castra is Latin in origin. It is the plural form of castrum, meaning a building or plot of land used as a fortified military camp.[2] Pyramis is a Latin word derived from the Ancient Greek word puramís (πυραμίς), meaning a pyramid.
