Caserma di Alviano was used by Bartolomeo d'Alviano as a barracks up until 1503. It served as the center for the military opposition against Borgia forces, and invading French forces, led by Baron Octavian de Valois. It later became a training ground for mercenaries, until it fell into disrepair, and was leveled during the expansion of Rome.[1]

The Assassin Ezio Auditore could obtain Assassination Contracts in the barracks through Bartolomeo's wife, Pantasilea Baglioni. Inside the lower floor of the building, a fight club could be found, where Ezio could win florins through bets for defeating enemies in short time limits. A Rift inserted by Subject 16 could be also found in the walls surrounding the structure. [1]

Database Entry

Used by Bartolomeo until 1503, his barracks became a training ground for mercenaries until they fell into disrepair and were levelled to make way for the enlarging city. The spot was marked for a memorial in 1960, but no one was quite sure where the barracks were actually located, so the idea was scrapped in favour of a park, which was, in turn, scrapped in favor of a fast food restaurant.[1]
