Caserma di Alviano was used by Bartolomeo as a barracks up until 1503. It then became a training ground for mercenaries, until it fell into disrepair, and was leveled during Roman city expansion. In 1960, it was suggested that Caserma di Alviano become the site of a memorial, but due to no one knowing the exact coordinates of the barracks, it was decided that a park should reside there instead. Unfortunately, this project was never completed, and the land was sold for commercial use. | |||
