Director Bradford was the director of the Lambeth Asylum near the end of the 19th century. In 1888, Jack the Ripper hunted him down in order to enlist his aid in removing all traces of having been a patient in the asylum. The director refused, calling for guards instead, so Jack killed him.[1]
