Bow of the Assassin

The Bow of the Assassin was a bow in the 5th century BCE Greece. Due to its lightness which didn't lessen its strength, the bow was a favorite tool for discreet kills, earning it its name.

During the Peloponnesian War, one of these bows ended up in the hands of the Spartan misthios Kassandra after she helped the Korinthian hetaera Erinna locate her friend Kleio and ensure her safety.[1]
