Bone-Maul

Bone-Maul was a battleaxe carved from whale bones. The sigil known as the Œgishjalmr, or "Helm of Awe" was carved into the axehead, in the hope that the axe wielder would be noticed by the Norse gods and attract their favor.

During the Viking expansion into Anglo-Saxon England in the 9th century, the Dane axe was made available to the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved her memories in 2020.[1]
